Al,
I think of the LABDIS file as the GL cross reference file. This file
is needed to determine how to charge the payroll dollars to the correct
account. That is why it can not be automatically populated.

Subject: How is LABDIS populated?
Environment: Mapics DB (Mod 4); IM, PCC, PDM, PR, etc.
Hi group:
I created a new Production Facility (Work Center) at the end of January and
were now attempting to charge Payroll into it.
The system rejects the payroll charges by providing the following error
messages:
E AM-2017 Department not found
E AM-2034 Facility not found
Mapics Website Support advises that the payroll rejection problem may occur
because the Work Center isn't listed in the Mapics LABDIS DB File.
I looked at the file and I couldn't find a record in there for the new Work
Center.
How is the LABDIS file populated?
You would think that adding a new Work Center, using File Maintanence, would
automatically create a new record in LABDIS.
I look forward to your comments.
