Dale - I don't drink beer...unless I am either alone or with someone.
:-)

The budget is tight so I don't know if I am attending the '04 conference
or not. I did respond to the call for papers so if they accept my pitch
I can go for free.

Dale, that's a good idea! I've done that elsewhere, but never thought
about it for this application.

If you go to the MUC this year, I owe you a beer for that one!

Dale,
Here is an idea on your shop packet & blueprint print issue. Take
control away from the RPG cycle and open and close the print file for
the shop packets with each order. Open the prtf, spool the shop packet,
close the file, and issue the remote command call, put a delay in if you
need to in order to allow the drawing to completely spool up, then
reopen the prtf and continue with the next shop packet, etc.
Good Luck.
Dale Walker

This is on my "to-do list" also. My current plan is to modify the shop
packet print program(s) AMI4H and AMI4I to add a call to execute a PC
print
command through the Client Access RUNRMTCMD utility to print the
blueprints. The problem is that the blue prints will not be in sequence
with the shop packets, they will print after all the shop packets. If
we
only released one order at a time, that would work, but we don't do
that.
I'd love to know how to have them print with the shop packets, in
sequence.

                      Discussion

We are running MAPICS XA Rel 6 including browser on an AS/400. Our
manufacturing department has requested that we automate the printing of
AutoCad drawings with the printing our MAPICS MO's.

Has anyone integrated the printing of drawings with their MO printing?
Or have any recommendation on how to accomplish this task?

Thanks in advance for your input.
