We are awaiting CSM as well, not just to be released, but assurance of
relative functionality & stability as we enjoy under R6.

RE: How many of you are on R7 live?

Lissa,

Ahhh. I've been waiting on CSM myself - that's why I was figuring on
starting in December. What performance issues have you run into? Are you
running the server apps on a separate PC server or the iSeries?

The conversion of Integrator data will be an issue for us, also.

Where is your company?

We started with 5.5 three years ago and six months later went to R6. We
are
heavy integrator users along with many of the client apps. In the fall of
last year the project stalled due to performance issues. My division was
waiting for the Integrator module which came out in June. We have not
been
able to get a good conversion of the Integrator data yet. My division is
also waiting on CSM which won't be ready until the end of this year and I
suspect will require heavy testing. We have other divisions that do not
run
many of the client apps that may look at moving to R7 first but none in
the
plan now.

Lisa, a year and a half?? Are you new to Mapics? If not, What version did
you upgrade from? That seems like a long testing phase if you are coming
from R5 or R6 of Mapics.. Is it the browser apps that is preventing you
from going live, new modules, Bugs?

Question for the thread: Who out there is up and running live on R7? We
don't have anyone in our local MAPICS User Group up on R7 yet (that's
about
50 companies!). It's been out for quite a while now, even if not complete,
and I have definite plans to upgrade as part of our plant improvement
project list. I'd sure like to talk to some people that are running it
already.
