I've tried MochaSoft 5250 on a Palm Pilot, and it works adequately. I plan
on using it when we complete our RF project, and I put a wireless card in
my newest Palm. $25 is a deal on that....

If you are looking for something multifunctional any PocketPC with an
802.11x wireless antenna running a 5250 emulator should work. Although I
am not sure if there is a version of Client Access that runs on a PocketPC
I would recommend MochaSoft which is a relatively inexpensive solution at
$25/device or $250/company. (The even have a version that can run on a
Nokia cell phone!)

RE: Scanners and label printers - question on scanners

Question: is there a small hand-held wireless device that we can load
Client Access on and access existing RPG programs from the iSeries? That
we
could also get our Outlook email on? That also has a scanner function for
reading the MAPICS barcodes... Something that doesn't need special
programming, just load CA like we would on a desktop, just small and
wireless. (We already have some wireless areas in our shop)

Thanks,
Ann
