Bob, We use Help System's ROBOT to stop and restart the unattached jobs. If you don't want to spend the money, you can buy a $30 Windows Macro package that will do something similar (I use that to run my system backups weekly). Prior to our using MDCC/PLMC, we used Kronos for labor data collection. We never ran the select and edit or process transactions. Instead, we wrote a small application that weekly deleted all transactions over a week old. Worked fine from 1993 through 2002. I have a couple more parts that I need to put to bed. Thought I would see how others handle these. 1...I think there has been some discussion of this before. Is there a good "automatic" way to start the unattached jobs AMJUA, AMJUB, & AMJUC? 2...We post the transactions and the status goes to "3". Now according to MAPICS I need to run the Select & Edit, then the Prepare, so the backup will clear the transactions from TRDATA. I don't have any trouble with this, but wish I could automate the select-prepare steps as well. Does anyone have a good alternative? I'm out of clever closing remarks today ;-) Bob _______________________________________________ This is the MAPICS ERP System Discussion (MAPICS-L) mailing list To post a message email: MAPICS-L@xxxxxxxxxxxx To subscribe, unsubscribe, or change list options, visit: http://lists.midrange.com/mailman/listinfo/mapics-l or email: MAPICS-L-request@xxxxxxxxxxxx Before posting, please take a moment to review the archives at http://archive.midrange.com/mapics-l.
