Shipping charges?

Just a little survey for the Mapics group.
Does anyone consolidate customer shipments based on weight?
We are trying to accommodate our customers by taking advantage
  of LTL price breaks (200 lbs.).
If not, is it just company policy?
If so, are you using standard COM.
