Hrishikesh, Under normal circumstanc= es, no mapics user has authority to mapics files. The as400 handles t= he security of the file by using adopted authority support.. What this mean= s, that when the user is accessing the files outside of the 400, they don't= have any access to the file.. Your options woul= d be to add the users to the file authority (Not recommended) or you could = attach your ODBC connection with a different user id than the user that is = working.. You could use AMAPICS profile, but th= at would open the file up to more than just read.
