Hi Geoff, I have done many different conversion/upgrades. From just about every release of mapics to whatever was the current release at the time. (was my speciality with former employer) Did a BPCS to mapics. I combined 2 mapics II env into one XA R3. Not sure if you are converting from another package or implementing from scratch. So it would be hard to give you advice without more details. But since you have been doing for the past 22 mths it sounds like you would have tested once or twice. But think about maybe doing a backup at various points. And expect the unexpected. As for source, there are 2 schools of thought there. Which I won't bore you now with... There is a fair amount of expertise on this thread. Plus with Mapics support. Should be able to get you thru.. My name is Geoff Richardson and my company have spent the last 22 months preparing to implement MAPICS XA 6.0 We are finally ready to go live at the first sites. I don't really have a specific question for y'all, but I would be very interested to hear your memories, lessons, experiences and advice relating to the implementation and roll out of MAPICS at your companies...
