Eric,

The way we track drop ships is through the Sales Transport Terms field
found on panel 020 (AMBGYPVR) of the enter orders display. The Sales
Transport Terms (defined in the MBDHREP file as 'Sale Code' and the
field name is DHBHST). The Sale Code is a User-defined code (1 character
length) which identifies the sales terms for the payment method used by
the customer for transportation charges (for example, collect, FOB
plant, prepaid, customer pickup). Maintain this code using the Code File
maintenance option. This works for us.

This code is also found in the customer master file (MBBFREP) and ship
to file (MBDEREP) and others as well.

I don't know what the DHAAGV field in MBDHREP is for as it is not
populated at our company.

Does anyone know what the field DHAAGV "Ship-to type" is used for or if
it is used in MBDHREP? My customer is trying to get a handle on
Drop-Ship orders and the only indication is the "?" in the Ship-to
number. However, if almost any field is changed on the Ship-to screen,
MAPICS considers it an override.

I was thinking of using the "Ship-to Maintenance" user exit to check for
the "?" and then pop-up a window asking if the order was a drop ship.
Does anyone else deal with drop ships and do/how do you track them?

TIA...
Eric A. Wolf
