Thanks to all for your advice. Ultimately, we're going to need to buy a new
system - this one is approaching its fifth birthday and was sized to a
smaller MAPICS utilization than we currently have. Our memory was maxed a
couple of years ago and I added a couple of DASD then - been looking on the
Web and DASD for my machine is cheap enough to buy with my credit card!

Anyone know a source where I can check how many more drives I can put in my
AS/400? I've beat my head against the proverbial brick wall on the IBM
support site - can't find a conf. page to save my soul!

I had looked at FAST400 some time ago, but got the impression that IBM
considers it illegal and breaking all sorts of contract clauses to use it.
Any thoughts on this (those of you who use it, and those who know of it and
don't use it)?
