There are so many ways to get data out of MAPICS, just like any other database platform. Since it is DB2, it complies with all standard access methods such as ODBC, SQL, etc. You can even use XML and .NET. Or you can get very primitive and use Client Access to extract everything as Excel formatted data. But I suspect you are looking for more than a pipeline, probably a roadmap that ties the data together. Either way, to be quite frank, you ought to have a real heart-to-heart talk with your affiliate get to the source of your reasons for going custom. Because if these questions posed are that of your development team, you're in for a real surprise! I wish you luck..... Is there any tool/product that we could use to extract the existing data from Mapics? Any help in this regard is appreciated. Thanks, Asok. _______________________________________________ This is the MAPICS ERP System Discussion (MAPICS-L) mailing list To post a message email: MAPICS-L@xxxxxxxxxxxx To subscribe, unsubscribe, or change list options, visit: http://lists.midrange.com/mailman/listinfo/mapics-l or email: MAPICS-L-request@xxxxxxxxxxxx Before posting, please take a moment to review the archives at http://archive.midrange.com/mapics-l.
