Yes, I believe you can secure these two files so your IT staff cannot access 
unless they have specific authority granted.  Give me a chance to go through my 
notes and I'll verify that.  We used this very same method to secure our MAPICS 
files when I worked at A. P. Green Industries in Mexico MO in the 1990's.   We 
were on R2 of XA at that time, but I got very involved with security and 
developed procedures and a process.  I then trained someone else to handle it.  
I'll see what I can find this weekend in between working on my taxes and 
enjoying this beautiful weather we have here.  Also, in answer to one of your 
other comments - yes, you have to be careful when setting up AS/400 and MAPICS 
security, but they can and do compliment one another if set up correctly.
