Ron,

just curious .. what are you trying to accomplish with rel 7, that rel 6 wont attend too??? By reseller are you referring to your affiliate? im not familiar with the term reseller, in mapics circle?

if you go to rel 7 , obviously you will have many more technical difficulties... will you handle these internally or offer these services to the affiliate ... could be expensive ??? just wondering again, about cost justification ??

Dear Group:

We recently bought MAPICS and our MAPICS reseller is telling us to install XA release 6 instead of 7 because 7 has lots of problems that MAPICS hasn't addressed. They have prevented any of their customers from upgrading to 7 but I know there are companies out there using it.

We have several issues with release 6 and are looking for input from users and other resellers and consultants concerning your experiences with release 7. Should we start on 6 or force our reseller to help us start on release 7?
