Our company has a need to add comments to the line items of COM orders to
provide customer specific information pertaining to the items ordered. Most
of the time this is handled via maintaining orders. I have been asked if we
can do this from an off-line procedure. I have determined that the
comments are recorded in the file MBAXREP - Comment Line Physical File. In
this file there is a Comment Header Number (AXKANB). Can someone tell me
what system file the COM order enter/order amend programs use to determine
the next Comment Header Number to assign? If I try to add these comments
from outside of MAPICS, I would like to increment this number so that the
number won't be re-assigned by MAPICS. We are still using ver3 of XA.

Any help would be appreciated.
