Joe, We do this often. We use IM for all inventory transactions for production (no PC&C, just PC and RM). For outside processors we transfer the goods to the outside processor warehouse (set up for that vendor), then PC & RM the item to record production and to increase FG inventory. If they ship for us, we produce the pick and key the transaction for them (unless they have access to our system). Otherwise we TW the finished goods back to a distribution site or for further production if a component piece. In fewer words, we set up a warehouse for that facility, transfer components, record production, and transfer the finished good to the customer or back to us as needed. Hope this helps. And if others have a slicker idea, I'm all ears! The blanks are stored at the vendor until they are needed. What I am looking for are ideas on how to handle the inventory transactions for the finished, coated blanks. Thanks for any ideas.
