Hi Bonnie,
What we did was create a start up CL called SIGNON. The CL can force a
user to a specific initial menu. We came up with this a looooong time ago
- I'm sure there are other, better ways also, but this works easily. You
could set up a special CL for the user that does a command like "MAPICS I
MM" to have him/her start at the I/M screen.
The user profile looks like this:
User profile . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . : R8401
Current library . . . . . . . . . . . . . : *CRTDFT
Initial program . . . . . . . . . . . . . : SIGNON
Library . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . : QUSRSYS
Initial menu . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . : MAIN
Library . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . : *LIBL
Limit capabilities . . . . . . . . . . . . : *YES
Text . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . : Gail Ream - Sales Dept.
Is that what you mean?

Subject: Mapics User Profile StartUp Menu
Does anyone have the Mapics User Profile Startup Menu working?
We are at XA R6 and PTF 3196. This is my first try at this.
I want my user to be signed in to a specific menu (custom under the Mapics
menu maintenance option).
He now defaults into the Application Selection menu (as do all our users).
I have tried variations on the following where MNOP3 is my custom menu.
PGM
MAPICS APPID($) EESDS(MM) MNOP1(26) MNOP2(01) MNOP3(70)
SIGNOFF
ENDPGM
This gets me only to the PDM main menu.
I really don't want my menu pegged to a Mapics menu. It can be invoked on
the Mapics menu command line.
What am I missing?
Thanks,
Bonnie Lokenvitz
