The follow up shortage report in IM would give you this information, but 
unfortunately they have not modified it since the toy company I worked for in 
the early 1980's gave it to them.  I would suggest you take that program and 
make copy of it, then write an program that would allow the user to change the 
parameters to only run against specific items numbers in specific warehouses 
upon demand.  It would be much more useable for a heads up on material or items 
that may have shortages without having to run a full MRP run.

Just a suggestion.
