Tom, Speaking as someone who just finished a complete reload of my system due to a failed hard drive, I was very thankful that I have daily backups. Just this weekend, after 38 hours of restore time, we only lost ten minutes worth of transactions (thankfully). 3 shift operations come to a complete halt when the system is down. I suggest that you immediately install a high-availability system (MIMIX or similar) or schedule some downtime to get a good save on a regular, and frequent, basis. Currently, I only do a MAPICS backup weekly and a library backup nightly ... however during my nightly backups some files are skipped because they are in use. This is an area I have been somewhat lax in and need to get better before I get stung. Any suggestions/hints are appreciated.
