We generate MAPICS COM pick lists from a non-MAPICS application, but it's not pretty. We checked what MAPICS does to set up a pick list selection interactively and tried to mimic this. We generate a trigger number and write that record to MBCMREP. Then we update the release records (MBADREP) to indicate that they are selected and what trigger number is associated with them (as well as pick list quantity and some other stuff I'm probably forgetting.) Once we've done that, we can submit AMBHXXFR with the appropriate parameters which indicate the pick list options and the trigger number to be used. I started this more than 2 years ago so there are details I'm forgetting, but that is the basic idea. (And if there is an easier way, someone let me know!) I have the task of implementing an automatic pick list generation process. I plan to use the end order user exit to test for the conditions of automatically generating a pick list. My question to the group is: Is there a MAPICS program that I can pass parameters to that will then generate a pick list? The parameters would be things like Order Number, Line Number, Item Number, Warehouse, etc. Or is there a database file that these parameters could be placed in and then call a MAPICS procedure that would read the file and generate pick lists? Any help would be much appreciated because I have a very short deadline for implementation.
