Joan, since you mentioned that you are working to "cleanup some lingering
data entry problems" I thought I would add one more utility.  The name is
WRKDBF and it is free.  You can download it at www.wrkdbf.com .  It was
written by William Reger at Levitz Furniture Corporation.  WRKDBF is easy
like DFU but has more features.  You can select fields, select records, it
has a FIND function like WRKSPLF, toggle field names & descriptions, etc.
You can also display data base relations and select which view to edit in.

Thanks to all who have contacted me, including those who e-mailed me
directly, and Dave (didn't get last name) from MAPICS suppor who called me.
I've got an editing program create through DFU - will also check out DSPFILE
possibilities as I work to cleanup some lingering data entry problems.
