Bud, We have done this for mfg order entry/release. It requires knowledge of what the MAPICS LDA looks and, as somebody else has said, the MAPICS submit job CL. We have some CL written for the batch submit and some code written that allows to see what is in the LDA at any point in a process. To do this, you need the CL source code. It will take me a little while to get some of these things together in document so that you can see what we do. We have put together a process where a person can scan or key in a part number and the program with generate on order then release it to the shop floor. Let me get it together in document format and I will send out via this mechanism. Since your mail reader does not understand this format, some or all of this message may not be legible. -- [ Picked text/plain from multipart/alternative ] OK, since nobody seems to know how to submit the "Create Shop Packet" from a custom program, how about the "Order Release with Shop Packet?" Does anyone know how to do that? I can't believe MAPICS makes it so difficult to submit a simple report from custom code!! *$&#^@$%# I held the JOBQ and submitted the job, then went and looked at the Job Log for the Submitted Job..... it makes no sense to me.... Not even a normal AS400 command. :-( Can anyone interpret this s____ for me? _______________________________________________ This is the MAPICS ERP System Discussion (MAPICS-L) mailing list To post a message email: MAPICS-L@midrange.com To subscribe, unsubscribe, or change list options, visit: http://lists.midrange.com/cgi-bin/listinfo/mapics-l or email: MAPICS-L-request@midrange.com Before posting, please take a moment to review the archives at http://archive.midrange.com/mapics-l.
