Bryan, I actually find it easier to create a test environment by restoring the libraries from tape (manual refresh of the test environment), and you don't need a dedicated system to do this. The steps are simple and easy to follow. You can find the instructions from the Mapics 'No Wait Response System' and type in "refresh test environment". Is there no way to restore the libraries from tape? -----Original Message----- From: Konrad Underkofler [mailto:kdunderk@hoshizaki.com] Sent: Thursday, September 05, 2002 9:54 AM To: 'mapics-l@midrange.com' Subject: RE: Disk space required for an environment update Bryan, Don't know how your backups are done, but if you backup to disk you can delete the test AMFLIB, AMTLIB and then just restore from the savefiles online without using any extra storage and avoid the QTEMP issues. There may be some minor tweaks necessary but it is less involved than going thru the whole MAPICS process.
