Rusty,

He may have used the ControllerVision or Power Ledger application,
within these applications the main account number can be segregated from
the division, department, product, etc.., through a mask over the stored
account number.

There has never been anything like that in MAPICS.  The G/L
number used to be smaller and all numerics way back.
