Responding to Eric Wolf, Over a year ago, I implemented MAPICS Analytics. The implementation went very well. It took around two weeks and I had users using the software for their sales reporting. Because my company modified MAPICS, I needed a few custom changes to MAPICS Analytics. Vanguard/MAPICS helped me with those custom changes. I did not need to purchase an extra module (the extension builder module) to make those changes. The reason why I bring this up is because someone in this thread made a statement that you MUST purchase the extension builder module to make changes. You only need that module if you want to make changes yourself. AS/400 performance: I have not seen much of a performance hit on our AS/400 from the data warehouse. In fact, the data warehouse took away a lot of CPU intense processes on the AS/400. Before the data warehouse was implement, my users kicked off large SQL/queries to get some of their custom sales reports. Now it is sent to them nightly through the warehouse. No more large queries hitting the system. My experience so far with MAPICS Analytics has been very positive for myself and my company. It has made my life as an IT professional easier! I would be happy to answer questions from anyone about this product. If you have or are in the process, how long did it take (or taking), how well did it go, were there any "gotchas", etc. Was it easy to install? My customer has MAPICS MMA and is looking at Analytics (and Silvon's version of MMA). The AMOLIB took 10 GB when the entire AMFLIB for the same environment was 10GB. TIA... Eric A.
