Axel,

I think you have already found the necessary way to do the reversal.
Since COM has not been enhanced in ages I would not expect any
new functionality anytime soon. It does what it does right or
wrong in alot of cases.

Long term you may want to consider a custom front end using the
offline loads to give you your extra functions.
