Thanks for your input.  I think Pete's idea of keeping the "list" up-to-date
is a great idea if you can do that.  My customer's next big problem is their
AS400.  They all have boxes that are (most likely) undersized for what is
required to run Java and the client apps. What size AS400 are you on, how
many
users and are you using "user based" licensing?

There was a user who replied to my question (I'm sorry but cannot remember
his
name), that his company went to a mid-size model 270.  His 3 hour MRP run
went
down to 7 minutes. He was not running any client apps but was planning on
installing them.  I wonder what response times will be like.

BTW, has any seen the latest APICS Magazine survey regarding ERP packages?
MAPICS was listing themselves as having primarily $70 million + customers.
What happened to them being for the smaller shops?
