Hi Mapics ML:

Thanks to:

Rob Cull (logical file approach);
Bill Roha (SQL approach);
Konrad Underkofler (CPYF Command approach);
Jon Le Roi (DBU Search approach); and
Ann Neal (DSPPFM Command approach).

I'm studying all of them and also in discussion with our
Information Systems deptartment for their feedback.

Perhaps it's possible for the original input DB file to
become a Keyed Physical file instead of a Non-Keyed
Physical file.....in the first place? Then the file
access can be made using DBU's Key feature.

I'll report later on how this all jells out.

In the meantime, if you're near southern Oregon this
weekend, visit the Rooster Crow event at the City of Rogue
River on I-5 (about 48 miles north of the California
border). You really can't say that "if you've heard one
screeming chicken...you've really heard them all." :-)

(Snipped...nobody wants to read all this again!)
