RE: AS/400 Upgrade charges-R7 Performance

Michael,

I agree with your assessment. We still need at
least 70 cpw interactive for the really inefficient
interactive things in MAPICS and to support all our
current interactive users that take over the machine
at times plus the 2350 cpw total in batch for extra
client use and potentially, R7... Thank goodness IBM
lowered the price by $50k. Right now our interactive
response time is fine, it is batch, the client apps
and printing that suffers.

The only real downside is that the high end 270 is
still a p20 tier to IBM.
