Joan, We do use *IPDS printers but not for that reason. We use them because of the performance hit that APFDS host print transform has on our overworked, (relatively) underpowered system. If you just want IPDS printing on just about any HP, change either the printer file: CHGPRTF FILE(AMALIB/XXXXX)DEVTYPE(*AFPDS) or change the override in MAPICS to be *AFPDS. I think the *IPDS on the current files is just a hangover from prior versions of MAPICS and should be changed globally. Overlays can be attached though the printer overrides as well. No source changes needed at all. For those really into customization you can also create workstation customizing objects and attach them to the printer. These can control paper trays, form sizes, etc. Regards Konrad
