Yes, I agree. (This solution occurred to me after I sent the last reply.) This is a solution we use with PaperLess (a.k.a. MDCC) and the shopfloor data terminals (PC's), but it doesn't allow a second session, so that's the only place we use named Client sessions. (I named my at-home PC session, then got "hung" when I was doing some maintenance work and got that lovely "waiting for reply from QSYSOPR" message and couldn't open the second session to see what the problems was!) It has at least allowed us to track transactions when the transactions come in via PMC.... We tried to identify source of transactions this way and brought system to its knees. TCP/IP network and MAPICS cannot resolve naming issues for multiple sessions on PC with different names. What to do, still an open issue with us also. _______________________________________________ This is the MAPICS ERP System Discussion (MAPICS-L) mailing list To post a message email: MAPICS-L@midrange.com To subscribe, unsubscribe, or change list options, visit: http://lists.midrange.com/cgi-bin/listinfo/mapics-l or email: MAPICS-L-request@midrange.com Before posting, please take a moment to review the archives at http://archive.midrange.com/mapics-l.
