Jim,

We set up an item number of "." (just a period).  It's nice and short, not
in the way or confusing to the vendors or receiving.  Then we type in the
full description.  Works great!  That's how I order all my miscellaneous
stuff like PCs, software, and so on.  We do this a LOT.

Does anyone know how to enter a PO without entering a item number?  i.e.
misc purchases.
