Dear Axel
If you are using MRP or MPSP you could load the orders as "firm planned" then
they could be released from MRP using regular menu options. I think this
would be the easiest.

Another method raising the orders direct into IM would be to populate the
batch file(s) that are updated by AMIM40 option 1 and then run IM Order
Release with/without shop packet.
