RE: PLMC Refresh Statistics comparisons

Eric - here's our numbers:

PLMC - Refresh all data - runs automatically at 6:00 am, 12 noon and 5:30 pm
(using Job Schedule Entries ).  Takes about 6-10 minutes. Production Control
knows to refresh if they make changes to an individual MO using MO range. If
we have a LARGE release of MOs that need work to begin immediately, ProdCtrl
goes in to PLMC Admin and refreshes all data, since it takes less than 10
minutes. We are running usually 30+ workstations (eWP, not green screen) and
15+ Browser sessions. We use almost exclusively IWP reports - no one outside
of IS really understands QRY.

MOMAST records:   1000+
MOROUT records:  17000+
MODESC records:  13500+
ITEMBL records:  19800+
ITEMAS records:  36000+
SLDATA records:    900+
SLQNTY records:   5300+

AS/400     9406-170
Processor  2176
DASD       52GB  (71% used)
Memory      1GB  (maximum)

We have room to add more DASD's - I'd have to check to see how much more. We
started with half the memory, but max'd the box over a year ago (and added
DASDs at that time - didn't quite double from the original sizing when we
bought MAPICS and the 400).

The refresh all data is running start to finish about 1 hr at 2:30am.  There
are no other jobs running.  However, here are some data and system
statistics that may be important to review:

MOMAST records:   6000+
MOROUT records: 150000+
MODESC records: 275000+
ITEMBL records:  66000+
ITEMAS records:  79000+
SLDATA records:   5200+
SLQNTY records:  15000+

AS/400     9406-620
Processor  2175
DASD       98GB  (61% used)
Memory      2GB

Regarding the MFG Order Refresh Range - it took 6 hrs interactively today.
We really need a way to submit it some way.
