We are getting ready to do some archiving.  In the past we have always done
a separate tape for every application.  Now that we have a new 3580 tape
drive the tapes have gotten a little more costly and it will take us years
to fill up a tape.

Does anyone achieve all of there applications to one tape?  I seem to
remember using a special volume id when initializing the tapes.
