As to your first question; directly from the No Wait Response Line...
        Packing List prints all items that go through the shipping process
        Items will print on the Packing List whether they were shipped or
        backordered. If you do not wish all order items to print on the
        Packing List then 'select' only those items that will be actually
        shipped to go through the shipping process.
        This can be done by printing a Pick List and selecting only the
        items to be shipped to print on the Pick List. Then be sure to
        select the order to be shipped by Pick List number.
   Your other issue needs a little research, but I have a feeling it may be
accomplished without adding a program by working with the "order unit of
measure".  Determining exactly how to approach this would require a
conversation about the specific requirements, but I think what you need is
there.
