Yeah Eric.....Thanks for rebuilding all my pointers in OPNMAT when I pulled the plug on the power during a MAPICS reorg. That one cost me me a bottle of Southern Comfort. Now that was real DUMB! I think that was in 1984 or about. I am still laughing at that one. That was an all nighter. You did a great job, the users never missed a heartbeat. 3 year conversion....wow, that has to be costing big bucks! "Eric Wolf" <eric_a_wolf@hotmail.com> on 08/16/2001 01:18:46 PM Please respond to mapics-l@midrange.com To: mapics-l@midrange.com cc: (bcc: Gail L Crane/Johanson/JMC) Subject: MAPICS Old Fogies Folks, Some of you have me beat (Gail, especially). I started working with Gail in 1983 MAPICS I S/34. But I think I may have you beat on the software side. I am currently working at a location that is converting to MAPICS R6 from a heavily modified and Y2K ready (& running) version of IPICS. The conversion has been going on for almost 3 years since the users have offered no assistance but we are finally going full steam and expect to go live 01/01/02 with about 12+ applications. Can anyone top this one?
