This has to be a major area of concern for many?  The quote concept seem
lost
in the MAPICS environment.  For those that don't have standard
costing/product
designs, it can be a bear.

We have looked at many packages, but are currently looking at Visual
JobShop
http://www.lillysoftware.com/visualjobshop/

It doesn't know MAPICS, but hopefully its ODBC can allow us to grab & drive
MAIPICS files.

Would be appreciated, also, if anyone had knowledge/opinions about this
package.  Which is appears efficient, especially since it starts at $1400 a
seat.

We use most of the MAPICS manufacturing modules (PCC PMC PDM IM, etc.) and
are wondering what you are using for quoting and estimating potential
items.  We've looked at MAPICS EQM and the price seemed a bit salty.
Currently, we're using a pc-based, offline system to do this.  Is anyone
aware of an affordable and functional 3rd-party application that will use
PDM's files and generate proforma costs?
