Agreed....create the file share with ops nav. Threw us all for a loop in the beginning as well. Solution is to use operations navagator and create a share. Tree goes like this- file systems, file shares. Right click on file shares and open as400 netserver. Right click on shared objects and create a new share. My MAPICS share is MPXFIXES with a path of QDLS/AFDWEB. Once you set this up, you can then map to it using //qxxxxxx\mpxfixes (xxxxxx is you system name). -----Original Message----- From: owner-mapics-l@midrange.com [mailto:owner-mapics-l@midrange.com]On Behalf Of McCready, Joan Sent: Tuesday, June 05, 2001 9:31 AM To: 'MAPICS-L@midrange.com' Subject: RE: Client Access Express, Windows 2000, & AS/400 Folders Yes, this works, but... I used to be able to download MAPICS ptf's from the Web directly to my AFDWEB folder on the AS/400. So far, I can't do that to the shortcut on my desktop with the new Client Access Express - it is back to a two-step operation; save the ptf to Win Desktop, then MOVE it from Desktop to the As/400 folder. One step forwards and two steps back - sigh.
