First, you must be running V4.2 or above.

Solution is to use operations navagator and create a share.  Tree goes like
this- file systems, file shares.  Right click on file shares and open as400
netserver.  Right click on shared objects and create a new share.  My MAPICS
share is MPXFIXES with a path of QDLS/AFDWEB.  Once you set this up, you can
then map to it using //qxxxxxx\mpxfixes (xxxxxx is you system name).

Yes, this works, but...  I used to be able to download MAPICS ptf's from the
Web directly to my AFDWEB folder on the AS/400. So far, I can't do that to
the shortcut on my desktop with the new Client Access Express - it is back
to a two-step operation; save the ptf to Win Desktop, then MOVE it from
Desktop to the As/400 folder.

One step forwards and two steps back - sigh.
