MAPICS inventory turns is traditionally expressed as EAANU / AVMEB (estimated annual usage divided by average month end balance) which works for most things. BUT what if the finished good item is make to order and is ordered and shipped all within the month? You can have very high turnover - but because you don't STOCK the item - you have no AVMEB, and therefore no inventory turns (as defined in MAPICS). Any ideas? Philip R.
