We too have the need, but no solution, for a front-end RMA procedure that loads CM info after approval. At the time of our XA4 implementation of COM, this topic was approached from several different angles, but the end result was much the same as reported by Steve Jones' post. In addition to simply issuing credit to the customer, we have the additional 'need' to optionally issue a replacement (i.e. automaticly copy the CM into a no-charge CO). I suppose that the Off-line File Load process could be exploited to do this, to reduce redundant keying, but it would depend on in-house programming -or- interface to another third-party app for the initial load. I would be interested in hearing from anyone that provides a MAPICS-supported extension for this purpose. regards, Tom Ashworth > -----Original Message----- > From: sjones@hpproducts.net [SMTP:sjones@hpproducts.net] > Sent: Wednesday, April 04, 2001 12:40 PM > To: MAPICS-L@midrange.com > Subject: Re: RMA Processing > > > We are in the process of changing our current procedure on this topic. > Currently we have a custom written application that handles the RMA > process.
