We do not do anything to the MO. Our theory is that the order hold will be
cleared up rather quickly and we will still meet the customers date. If
the order does not get cleared up, then we just put the parts into
inventory when the MO is finished.
Rarely does this present us a problem, because most of our finished items
will be consumed by someone.

I am interested in how different companies handle COM credit/ QA holds,
etc.
When the MO has already been released and the COM order later goes on hold
-
what internal procedures do you use to notify production and make sure that
they are not penalized for late production / delivery?
Do you pull the MO? change the date? etc.
