Our company has developed a utility for XA which will allow you to close out
MO's and PO's without changing MAPICS screens. The product is aptly named
MO/PO Closeout - Please contact me if you would like more information.

Frank

Subject: Force Close Purchase Orders

Dear ML,

I have the following problem:

Environment: OS/400 V4R3M0; MAPICS XA V2R4
Modules: CAS, IM, PUR, EPDM, PDM, COM, PCC.

Since we do not have the AP module installed and running in our company our
Purchase Orders are not closed by MAPICS (There might be some other reason
for PO's not being closed by Mapics but this is what I have deducted). POs
have to be force closed, this procedure is going on for a long time in my
company. In the process of closing the Purchase Orders forcefully Users
sometimes enter the wrong PO#. I intend to write a validation program and
through this program I want to call the MAPICS Purchase Order Force close
program.

My question is, how do I know the name of the Mapics program which closes
Purchase Orders forcefully? Also, what parameters have to be passed to this
Mapics program in order to initiate it?

We don't have the Mapics Source code therefore this task of finding the
program is unusually difficult. Please guide me in this regards...

TIA.

Regards,

Hrishikesh Kotwal.
