Sorry this is so late, but I only recently started reading the maillist,
and found the question in the archive:

And your question didn't get an answer.  
Yes I have the solution for you, I programmed it years ago.  I can do a:
        CALL xxxxx PARM('filename' library' 'environment')
from outside MAPICS which does everything starting from loading the file
and continuing with closing the batch and processing it.
Alas for you I cannot give it away for free, since I am a MAPICS consultant
in Belgium (Europe).  I don't think my boss would approve.  I don't think
it is expensive as a solution.  If you are still interested let me know
through the maillist
