The MAAPICS manuals on the CD Rom I think are very good the search facility 
is useful within Acrobat.

I have experience of other documentation of ERP systems and I beleive the 
quality of the MAAPICS documentation is in the upper quartile.

Many years ago the documentation used be in the form of paper manuals, with 
three manuals per module, a run book this gave information about what you 
enter into displays to actaully run jobs enter data etc. A logic manual with 
record layouts descriptions of what each program does etc, and a functional 
manual giving information about how to manage the aspects of the module.
