(S, 4/23) Introducing Myself to the MAPICS M:L

Hi ML Group:

First of all, Happy Easter to everyone on the list. 

I recently became employed by a nanufacturing company in southern Oregon that 
has used MAPICS DB or Y2K for several years on an IBM AS/400 computer system.  
(They are considering upgrading to XA.)

This is my first exposure to MAPICS and I've been trying to find sources for 
information about MAPICS.  I posted a comment on this subject to the 
news:comp.sys.ibm.as400.misc Usenet Newsgroup and one of the responders 
mentioned your Mailing List.

Well, here I am.  I'm sure glad that I found this group and I hope that as I 
learn MAPICS, I can not only learn from this ML but also contribute to the ML.

My background is as a CPA in California and Oregon (my license is now inactive 
because I'm no longer in purlic accounting).  I have a real interest in 
computers (mostly PCs and handheld Windows CE devices), programmable HP 
calculators, English language dictionaries, cockatiel birds (I have 7 of them) 
and music (I play three instruments mostly in country music: lead guitar, pedal 
steel guitar and electric bass).
