Aaron,
Be _very_ careful about buying Macs from Best Buy - lots of nasty
stories about warranty problems etc. Much better to buy by mail if you
want to save a few $ and then buy Applecare after you've had the
machine a few months and extend the warranty to three years once you
know you want to stick with it. It is one of the nice things about
Macs that you get Applecare for 12 months with the basic warranty (and
it is a great service) and then any time in the first 12 months pay
the extra for Applecare extended the warranty and service.
And do buy iWork - once you use Keynote you'll wonder how the hell MS
ever managed to make PPT so damn complicated.
