The internal search function is temporarily non-functional. The current search engine is no longer viable and we are researching alternatives.
As a stop gap measure, we are using Google's custom search engine service.
If you know of an easy to use, open source, search engine ... please contact support@midrange.com.
It sounds like you are using iSeries Access for Linux. If so across the
are the following menus:
Command Edit Option Control Print
The sixth item under Option is Miscellaneous Preferences. You can set it
there under Hotspot Highlighting. You will have to setup Hotspots in the
previous option called Hotspots.

Hi All
How can I set some of the misc preferences in ibm5250?
If I read the help file it says that for instance to turn hotspot
highlighting on I use the option
IBM5250*HOTSPOT_HIGHLIGHTING:ENABLE
It doesn't say where :-(
That sure looks like an old fashioned ~/.Xresources file entry, but
creating one with just that in it doesn't seem to work.
Are they still sourced in modern versions of X (I would think they
would be!)
I'd like to make it global rather than per user as well.
If I make the change with the GUI it seems to make a 'Miscellaneous'
file (type data, not text) in ~/.iSeriesAccess/ibm5250
I suppose I could copy that somewhere that has global effect, but I
don't know where that is - /opt/ doesn't directly relate.
Comments appreciated,
Brian
