IMO, 5250 in a browser (at least the pure browser implementation, not the plug-ins) is adequate for casual use only ... anyone who is going to work in a 5250 session long term needs the all the capabilities of a good terminal emulator.
Personally, I use CA at work and tn5250j at home. I kind of like CA's 5250 emulator, but it comes with way too much baggage.
