I've made the switch at home to running Linux almost exclusively. There
are only a couple of reasons that I still have windows installed at home.
1) Netflix
2) Call of Duty 4
3) Citrix into work network
If not for those two things I would be soley linux. The laptop my wife
uses (my old one) only running Ubuntu. This is the only machine she uses.
She complains now and then when I don't keep flash updated but that's
about it. God forbid facebook doesn't work :D
I haven't tried any i centric development on linux yet tough. And I
didn't even know that Citrix had anything for Linux. Worth trying.
I'm thrilled that this list has been created. I'd love to get off of
Windows. By the way, no AV running on my linux box. Anything would have
to have my root password to get past sudo in order to get installed. Ain't
happening!
Thanks

Re: [LinuxDesktop4i] Why are you on a *nix desktop?
Bruce - do you find it performs? I tried it on Windows when I was in
an "anything but paying those SOBs at Norton for another abysmal mess"
mood. It was truly horrible - everything slowed to a crawl and after
about three weeks I uninstalled and went to AVG.
